ever heard that boygenius song that goes always an angel never a god, always an angel never a god, always an angel Never A GOD and it just keeps going? well yes that was the inspiration behind this piece. (timestamp 2:23)

i wanted to capture the feeling of not having the confidence to take up space, of fearing the spotlight even when it's very much deserved. this feeling is often coupled with an overthinking complex, the need to perfect every version of yourself so if you do happen to be in the spotlight, at least you look like art.
